Our Society

Our Medical Society hosts many speakers and trips from all across the medical sector. This society is greatly recommended to those looking to pursue a career in the medical field.  Activities in the past have included trips to universities, sessions on diseases and the human body, to a fascinating talk from Jonathan Reinarz that gave us an insight into burns injury and identity. We have also been lucky to receive talks from YESS – who are a mental health charity who talked about careers in mental health nursing and also living with mental health, an ever growing and topical issue. The Medical Society also hosts fundraisers for charities such as Marie Curie throughout the year.   Due to the practical element of this group there will be a £15 charge to join this group to pay towards these sessions.
