Life at Painsley Sixth Form
All students will experience a mature learning environment, whilst developing the higher level thinking and employability skills needed for their Post-18 pathways. Our enrichment programme of societies, such as the medical and law societies, in addition to work experience in Year 13, and sporting activities, will ensure that all students have their interests and needs catered for within an outstanding college.
Learning experience
Each student will be allocated a personal progress tutor, who will support them during their time in the Sixth Form. The tutor will meet with students on a very regular basis, to discuss their aspirations, academic progress, and well-being and support the UCAS process.
Guided independent learning will further develop the skills needed for higher education, and students will have full access to the new learner resource centre to support their studies.
Similar to other colleges we have expectations and agreements that apply solely to our sixth form. These have been developed to promote a mature environment, where all students are supported according to their needs.
