Education in Early Years T Level

The T level in Education and Early Years is a level 3 course designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of working in an early years setting, as an early years educator.
Throughout the course, students will be expected to explore and be assessed in key topic areas such as child development, supporting education, safeguarding and the importance of promoting the health and safety and wellbeing of children and young people.

Both Y12 and Y13 students will attend college Mon- Wed for their classroom studies.

Alongside the academic expectations, the students will also be required to complete 750hrs within an early years setting over the two year period of the course. The intention is for the students to complete a minimum of 350hrs within their year 12 studies. Placements will take place every Thursday and Friday, for both Y12 and Y13 students, together with a number of block placements throughout the year. This provides the opportunity for the students to gain a sense of belonging and to benefit from being a part of a team whilst applying theory to practice throughout the course.
